Perched majestically on a high cliff overlooking the ocean, its striking red architecture can even be seen from the bypass road leading to Naha Airport. In ancient times, people believed this cliff was a sacred place to worship the gods of &#8220;Niraikanai&#8221; (a mythical land across the sea) while watching over ships entering Naha Port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Get There<\/strong>&nbsp;Located near the center of Naha&#8217;s coastline, the shrine is easily accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By Train:<\/strong>&nbsp;It is a 20-minute walk (approx. 1.3 km) from Asahibashi Station on the Yui Rail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By Bus:<\/strong>&nbsp;Take Naha Bus #2, #3, or #5 and get off at the &#8220;Nishinjyo&#8221; stop. The shrine enshrines deities such as Izanagi-no-Mikoto. Located within Naminoue Umisora Park, it is open for swimming from April to October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Swimming Hours:<\/strong>&nbsp;9:00 AM \u2013 6:00 PM (until 7:00 PM in July and August).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Facilities:<\/strong>&nbsp;Showers (100 yen\/5 mins), lockers (200-300 yen), and changing rooms are available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parking:<\/strong>&nbsp;While the shrine has a small lot for worshippers, visitors going to the beach should use the nearby Wakasa Kaishin Park Parking .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The view from the beach is unique\u2014you can look up at the shrine sitting atop the cliff while enjoying the tropical water.
