This was my second visit to the island, the first being back in 2019 before the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this trip, we hopped into our rental car and headed for this small island, renowned as one of the most breathtaking scenic spots in all of Okinawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Highlight Begins Before You Even Cross! The View from the Mainland<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you drive across to Kouri Island, there is one spot where you absolutely must stop: the shore of <strong>Yagaji Island<\/strong> on the opposite side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spread out before your eyes is the &#8220;Kouri Blue&#8221;\u2014a sea so vibrant it leaves you speechless. The <strong>Kouri Bridge<\/strong>, stretching 1,960 meters long, cuts a perfectly straight line across the water as if slicing through the ocean to reach the island.
