About me

Hello and Welcome! I’m Kazu.

I am an 82-year-old resident of Kanagawa Prefecture (the Greater Tokyo Area) with a lifelong passion for connecting with the world.

From late February, I will be spending over two months in Okinawa, enjoying the unique culture and beautiful landscapes of Japan’s southern islands. Whether I am at home or traveling, I stay active through my favorite hobbies: golf, traveling, reading, and watching films.

My Background and Mission

During my professional career in my late 30s, I was stationed in New York City for several years. That experience was transformative; it broadened my horizons and allowed me to develop a truly global mindset.

Now, I want to give back by utilizing that international sensibility to share authentic insights about Japan. My goal is to bridge the gap between East and West, providing readers from Europe, North America, and beyond with a local’s perspective on Japanese life, culture, and hidden gems.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I look forward to sharing the beauty of Japan with you.
